Superb...what more can i say....
Well what can i say, i had been shopping around for a few months for a bivvy for night fishing, and came across this one and thought it looks good. So bought it and it arrived, after a problem with delivery it was damaged upon arrival, The bivvy was fine just the sleeve it goes round on was damaged as was dropped and broken the little clip to tie it up together to keep it safe and secure, no big deal, anyway, contact TF GEAR and they sent me a replacement cloth bag. Sorted...
Now as i found out later on, The window area that is exposed to the weather, was and is a little annoying especially if you want to have a kip for an hour or two, not nice with the wind coming in....So i have added a personal touch, and designed a velcro system window door, made out of the same fabric as the bivvy itself and same colours, The sides of the bivvy to the opening were glued first for 24 hrs with velcro strips, along with a machine to stitch it all together, Had the right material sourced same as the bivvy and made a clear window almost set as a triangle to make the whole bivvy closed from inside. I even had the orange fabric bought specially and that to have been stitched so now i can literally be sat inside and quite warm too, And the good thing is if you need to rush out from inside you just pull the tabs off the velcro and it all comes off in about 5 seconds flat, I made it so light to that it can be rolled up put inside the bivvy when packing it away. To see pictures of this that i have created and added, please ask away i will email you over the pictures but as for the bivvy it's a great piece of gear that is doing the job no problem at all i love it..Even with its quiver tip slightly bent at the top it can still fit in a rod holdall as long as its a shakespeare quiver holdall or something bigger.
The idea is that i have now got a fully waterproof tight, almost 98% secure bivvy with me inside and resting and i can still see the the rods from outside by seeing inside. I have also modified the inside roof a little and have added a LED light inside that has the cable wrapped around 1 pole going from top to bottom, and then that just hooks up to a 12v battery with a switch to turn it on and off whenever i feel like...It really looks and feels comfortable now.
And the battery will last 12 hours with the led 5W bulb kepted on.
Not sure though if TF Gear make the window as separate or not, but mine looks the part now...For more info get in touch...
Thankyou
