I've owned three of these and all broke after the first fall - the thin internal plastic part that holds the batteries snaps and then the spring contact won't stay touching the battery end. Also the magnet is poorly secured and would sometimes be left on the metal you'd attached it to - a dab of superglue under the magnet helped with this issue. The internals need stronger plastic parts to withstand drops because believe me, this torch will get dropped at some point.

I bought a similar one in Aldi a while back, and I broke it, but it was a copy of this, however the Aldi one had a row of LED's on the side - pretty good, BUT - this has the COB strip, and its retina burning bright, plastic housing is the same, its sturdy to a degree, but will break if you give it some hammer, there is a metal version but costing a fair bit more. For the money this is a no brainer, the top LED is a very bright handy light as the base of the torch is magnetic, hence why I bought another, and even better with the COB, I use it on metal surfaces a lot, so its just ideal. At £4 inc post, there is not much to argue about, button turns on the lights in sequence, even comes with batteries. At this cost I can afford to break another and buy more, the side light is impressive - very. Highly recommended.Read full review
