My agency recently changed radios and I had to find an adapter for the new one, a Motorola APX 6000, that would accommodate my microphone and ear bud setup (Tactical Ear Gadgets with a quick release). I did not want to buy a whole new setup. I found the quick release adapter for the APX 6000, which save me a little money. The adapter fits the radio perfectly, and the quick release, with the same quality as the old adapter. Looks to be just fine.
