Maximum Power (Pmax): 50W. Solar Panels & Kits. Solar Panel Technical Specification. Alternatively you can have bigger solar panels with higher power output, but don’t take up as much space. This works by doubling the number of solar cells and increasing the number of ribbons, (BB’s / buzz bars) which connect the silicon solar cells together within the panel.

    Good quality and good value

The build quality is very good, as are the electrical connections. I connected it with a cheap chinese pwm controller to a partially charged 12v leisure battery. The results were quite impressive, the battery drawing around 5amps with the panel facing the sun.

    Bad Sample?

The 50W panel supplied had stains on the surface of the solar panel itself (not the glass surface, which I cleaned) and dirt / stains on the underside of the glass. Poor quality control here? The panel works, but for how long with a contaminated surface?

  • Quality product

Fairly priced in the market of aluminium framed mono crystalline. 50 watt @ £43 approximately is ok for the smaller battery storage solar set up. Quality build , very solid, good enough cable thickness. ***Only difference to other make solar panels I have is there was no polystyrene in the back of the panel.*** As a bare minimum, I would advise not to get a lesser wattage than 50 watt if you plan to get much use from during winter periods.

  • Seems good but too early to really tell

The output is good, even with cloud. The frame appears pretty solid and overall seems good quality but only time will tell, and we always review just a few days after purchase. I always wonder if the 12 months guarantee will be honoured, and promises of a 10 year life may prove totally empty! But for now all is fine, and if I get even 5 years life I will be happy.

  • not a good quality panel, over rated

advertised as 80w, in full sun mid day maximum i was getting is 21w. most probably 30-40 watts panel has been labeled as 80watts.

  • Good product, well made

Good product, well made. Seems to kick out a good voltage, ideal for my caravan.

  • Good price for a decent panel

Good price what seems to be a good panel, not sure on the amp rated, but my MPPT gives values of 21v and 0.2A, but then again it is a fully charged battery, so will have to check once we use the battery a bit more over this summer
