Bright at night. Strobe light wins fight. In sight far as a kite. Right height for a tight bite.
To start off, the batteries are great. They come with a charger and it does take all night to charge them, but they work hours on end. The little flashlight was great for about a year, now it flickers even with brand new batteries. The big light was phenomenal. It had perfectly even coverage when zoomed out, all the way to being zoomed in. It would show the square LED perfectly when zoomed in, and it was intensely bright. I'm sure it still does, but I wouldn't know cause someone stole it! WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU'RE A BUNGHOLE AND A MORON! I BET YOU DON'T HAVE A CHARGER FOR THE BATTERIES, AND MY NAME IS ENGRAVED ON THE FLASHLIGHT YOU THEIVING, GREMLIN HANDED, MINION FACED, HUNCHBACK MONSTER! Best flashlight I've ever owned.
I like this flashlight so much, I bought a second one for myself, one for my truck-driver son, and one for my parents. I didn't think the strobe would be of much use, but when my husband pointed it at me, I was totally disoriented and do believe that it would deter an intruder or an animal. I like the zoom feature. It's also very helpful that I can use a rechargeable battery or the cartridge that holds three AAA batteries. Every household should have one of these flashlights. But check the lumens. Good quality and build. We have a creek about 150' from the back of our house that floods every spring usually during the night. The bigger flashlight will project a quality light stream in extended zoom to light up the creek area to plainly see the water level. 180' appears to be the limit on the zoom for being to see detail images.
