I fitted this expansion vessel to an Ariston hot water system. The vessel has the standard half inch thread for connection. Using a typical 15mm pipe to half inch adapter, the joint wouldn’t seal to the vessel without two good sized rubber washers to fill the gap. The instructions suggest ptfe tape, but having tried that and used a great deal of it, the rubber washers were the only solution.
