The Ease Of Use of MagicScore Maestro Music Notation Software
MagicScore has about everything one needs for writing today's music of multiple types. However, it is not very intuitive, and "intuitive" is helpful when it comes to notation software. The software is difficult to get into and start using because the layout is not simple or logical. Thus the learning curve is fairly great. I was using MuseScore (the free software) before I bought MagicScore, and I've gone back to MuseScore because its layout is easy. In that I've spent my money for MagicScore and I'm not using it, I suppose I'm basically saying I regret having bought it. People are very different, so I shy away from suggesting someone else might not learn it more easily. Some people are amazingly intelligent. I just have an average I.Q., but I am a music major from the late '70s, a composer/arranger for many years, fluent with computers, and have earned a Master's Degree from Southern Seminary with undergraduate degrees from U. of L. So I am educated and am an accomplished musician. I'm writing a review because I was asked what I think, and it's an opportunity to inform others.
