This is a fantastic vacuum cleaner. The only reason I gave it a four star is because of the wheeled base. We have a good quality carpet that is a plush. The unit requires extra effort to pull it when using the hose. On hardwood and other smooth surfaces there is no problem as it easily rolls along. My husband swept today and he felt if the hose were longer it wouldn't be necessary to move the unit every three feet of sweeping. I was thinking that if the wheels were larger it wouldn't be as difficult to pull. Again, this is an excellent sweeper other than the difficulty in pulling the vacuum on carpet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awesome vac
The rainbow is nice and easy to use. Got it in a timely manner , I spoke a little too soon on this vacuum cleaner. It worked well for about ten uses, then I tried to clean carpet and sprayer did not work. Next to go down was the bowl, it was a little cracked when I got it but then the rim fell off and now the clamp to hold bowl on won't clamp, so I can't use this machine. I just wish it was before my 30 days was up, I would have sent it back but oh well. They said they would send replacement parts so I am waiting now 2 weeks no vacuum to use at the house until parts arrive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Rainbow vacuum cleaner - the only way to clean your home!
I needed to get a new vacuum cleaner because the upright I had was a disappointment. The hose kept ripping and the canister spewed debris all over the place when I emptied it. I also have a family member who has serious respiratory problems and wanted something that would not aggravate health issues. I had read the reviews, both good and bad, about Rainbow vacuum cleaners, but liked the idea of a vacuum with a water filter. I was able to buy a Rainbow E series one speed on Ebay with most of the attachments. The price I paid was very reasonable. The machine and attachments were in excellent condition, and I was delighted with the results. It has powerful suction and smells very clean when I am using it. And what a joy to empty the water basin without polluting the indoor environment with more dust! The canister and attachments are beautifully made and look like they will last a very long time. And the hoses appear to be reinforced with wire, so ripping should not be a problem. Great made-in-America quality! After use, the water basin must be cleaned out and dried and the separator should be cleaned. These tasks take all of 5 minutes at the most. Great machine
It's great.i had one that I bought at a garage sale back in the early 90's.it was very old and it lasted about 15 yrs but I could not do the proper maintenance because the nut on the separater would not come off. So it died on me.This one is a few years old but it's all new to me and I Iove it I use it practically every day if just to clean the air. It has two speeds which makes it very quiet when I am putting my favorite scent in the air. Amazing
I never realized how much dirt was being left behind by my Oreck vacuum until I bought the Rainbow. This is the most amazing vacuum I've ever used. The Rainbow has made all my house cleaning so much easier from vacuuming to dusting. I haven't used the carpet shampoo attachment yet but plan to do so soon. My husband and I actually have fun doing the housework now seeing how much muck and dog hair we can suck up into the water basin. It also works really well on low speed cleaning and freshening the air in the house when we are not using it to vacuum or dust. Great Vacuum!!!!
This is actually our second Rainbow E2 2 Speed we now own. We have one for upstairs and we bought this one for our now remodeled and finished basement. The Rainbow vacuums are the best vacuums you can buy and use. The water basin catches and traps more dust, dirt and whatever better than any other vacuum out there. The water basin trap is actually used in the most expensive car paint booths and auto paint factories because that type of filer system catches and traps more paint solvents and over spray than any other filtration system available. Hopefully that information tells you how awesome the Rainbow vacuum is!!! Also, put on the small round brush attachment and use it to dust anything and everything in your house - shelves, end tables, nick-knacks, books, chair legs, etc.... The greatest vacuum I ever owned! When I tried it for the very first time I vacuumed my carpets with the regular vacuum...carpets seemed clean. Then I used the Rainbow...oh my. An amount of dirt that Rainbow extracted from already cleaned carpets shocked me! And it also cleans air. I think my life is divided now: before the Rainbow...and after. Wish I got this YEARS AGO!!
First off....I must share how highly I regard Nick! His willingness to answer questions & the obviously apparent CARE for his customers is commendable ❤️ As soon as I can afford it, I'll be buying another unit so I can have one on each floor of our home. We used it for the first time today...& even though I demonstrated these about 35 yrs ago & knew what to expect....I & my husband BOTH WERE ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHED at how filthy the water was even after doing the same rug 3 separate times with clean water!!!! AND we vacuumed thoroughly beforehand with our expensive Meile! Seriously...it was SCARY what came out of our 2 large area rugs, which are vacuumed REGULARLY!!!! I am NOT ABLE to recommend buying one of these, HIGHLY ENOUGH! No kidding. The added feature of being able to add your choice of liquid fragrance to the clean water is SUCH A JOY!! It leaves a CLEAN LIGHT scent in the room....not AT ALL overpowering or lie perfume. I couldn't be more pleased. Not possible! Thank you SO MUCH Nick !! You have a repeat customer for life! Cannot use outside of US
This product cannot be used outside of the U.S. becoz of the different voltage! Not a normal converter can do coz it has electric board inside. U will need to change the electric circuit board, plug, the hose and even the power nozzle! No proof of purchase so no warranty or local distributor will fix for u unless u buy the parts from the US and fix urself but it is not that easy... wasted all the money and the machine is standing here!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worth the money
I will start with the only downside to this vacuum. There are a LOT of parts to store, and hauling it up and down the stairs can be a real pain. That being said, this vacuum is some of the best money I have ever spent. We have two dogs, and the hair and dust is out of control. I have really noticed a difference for the first time. It picks up SO much more than my previous vacuum (which was expensive), and with all of the different parts that it comes with, you can pretty much reach any nook and cranny. I also use it to clean my blinds and to suck up cob webs and other things that are normally a pain to get around to. With the rainbow, it is so easy.
