  • Better than most D.I.Y. pedal build peddlers !

This Rangemaster DIY pedal from Guitar Gear Workshop is one of the better kits I have built / tried over the years . Assembly was clear and easy unlike the major diy outfits out there . The online response to ANY questions were fast , focused and honest . One northwest USA diy outfit I tried was anything but helpful and their schematics and phone help was dodgy and lacking . These guys offered it all and were genuinely supportive . They resolved issues and offered help that most diy guys grudgingly offer last . Consider them closely before sending yer hard earned dough to the wrong choice . I recommend this pedal .

  • Not for sissies.

Does exactly as advertised. Boosts treble. Don't try to use it with a cheapo solid-state amp, you'll be disappointed. This effect is quite old-school, and if you're into the wimpy types of music that millenials listen to, this is not for you. Can be very bright at first, but with some amp tweaking, it can be glorious.

  • This Treble Booster Rocks! Its great !

Great Kit. You need a minimun, (level 1 / 10) knowledge about soldering with tin and electronic components. But if you dont have any idea you can make a any mistake easily and the thing can go wrong. Pros: This Kit Rocks ! Very well explained instructions for me that I was building my first pedal. Every step I had doubt I email the guy and had answer. Good quality components, connectors and very sturdy casing. I connected a copy of a copy of a Stratocaster (a piece of crap a friend gave me) to this pedal and then to a Vox Amplug 2 AC30 (yes the 50 bucks micro amp). It delivers great sound with that Brian May´s, Tonny Iomi´s color. Cons: None in general. But it will be great if the instructions has not only diagrams but real photos of the electronic components especially to show the polarity and the identification of the legs.

Great instructions, well organized nice kit. If you follow the detailed diagrams, placement and parts identification sheet, a novice or experienced builder can enjoy this. And as an added benefit..... it actually sounds good and works very well!

  • Worth it for DIY players on a budget

Sounds great. Not too hard to make. A magnifying light helps. Definitely beats $200 for a retail model.
