Better Quality than Original
This part replaced a failed dishwasher rack that was made completely of plastic. The plastic version failed when the spindle holding one of the wheels broke. This new dishwasher rack feels a lot sturdier and anticipate that it will last the remainder of the life of the dishwasher. The only negative aspect that I can see with the new rack is that you lose space to place the dishes. The adjuster handles protrude further into the rack which ultimately makes finding glasses to fit there, very difficult. If it wasn't for that, this would be a 5 star product. For only a few dollars more, you replace the plastic rack components that are known to fail with the revised metal pieces.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

better than the original plastic, but takes up a little more room
I bought this because the original part had plastic axles that break off, and end up allowing the top rack to come loose from the rails that attach it to the dishwasher. These parts so far seem much more sturdy, and they've fixed the problem. Now let's hope they last! Installation was a bit difficult, because the instructions make no mention of how to remove the old parts, and the pictures are very poor, so to the less mechanically inclined, this may be difficult to install. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to get the first side old parts off and new parts on. Once I did, the second side took all of 5 minutes, if that. The only other drawback is that this part seems to "intrude" more into the top rack space - the old parts didn't interfere with loading dishes, this new part "juts out" a little more, so tall glasses don't fit now where they once did.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great replacement for factory flawed design
Much better design than the original that had plastic spindles for the roller assemblies. The original parts eventually crack and fail. This design is much more robust and I expect it will last as long as the dishwasher. Installing the parts is easy if you do a search online for instructional videos to help. The written instructions are not very clear and following the online video these parts can be replaced in about 15 minutes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than original.
Part fit perfectly and was better made than original part. The wheels in the original part were secured with a metal bracket, which had deteriorated and broken off. In this part, the wheels were held by a washer and bolt. Very good product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Upgrade to the the original flimsy upper rack adjuster
This Whirlpool upper rack adjuster is just what the Doctor ordered! No more flimsy plastic tabs that hold on the rollers causing the rack to fall. This kit is easy to install along with being of good quality! Dishwasher manufactures should be giving their customers this kit free and apologize for installing cheap parts. The plastic cost saving roller assembly is a complete piece of junk. I bought the same piece of junk from the Appliance store (Same place I purchased the dishwasher from) as a replacement a year ago. This time I asked do they make a better replacement part???? Great Replacement Part - Will last much longer
This part that has the wheels to allow the basket to roll out is much improved over the original plastic parts. The wheels are firmly attached to the stainless steel part and should last many times longer. Better replacement
Got this to replace the original part on my dishwasher. The original part had a very thin wheel axle. This one is still plastic but thicker. There are more stainless steel parts, but I don't know if that help except the aesthetics. Only negative is that this part is a little be more bulky than the the one that the one that came with my dishwasher. Happy with the replacement though.
