Silence Is Copper-Coloured
I have a Burns Cobra (the Strat-shaped one with three single-coil p/ups) which was picking up quite a lot of hum and noise and as I primarily do recordings rather than playing live, I thought I'd try a screening kit. What a difference! I hoped it might help, but it worked brilliantly. Everything is there in the kit, just take a deep breath and carefully dismantle your beloved guitar and get to work. Unusually for me, I followed the instructions precisely and made sure the paint coverage was 100%. I backed the scratchplate with the copper foil (quite tricky to get it neat and be careful, the edges are sharp), put the whole thing back together and...I was amazed - a very quiet guitar. Great for strats to keep out static
Works really well. Best mask your guitar up as it can be messy but I put one coat on and let that dry for 5 or 6 hours then out another coat. The next day add the copper tape and your good to go. I have done 3 strats and it worked every time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sound of Silience
