Good product, good price. Problem is, it doesn't keep the likes of starlings and magpies from wreaking havoc, frightening off smaller birds, and spilling the grain out with their violent greed. This is not an inditement of these feeders which are excellent for the money. Just wish somone would produce feeders with a 30mm mesh cage around with an overall diamater of 250mm to prevent these bully birds from reaching thu to the central feeder. A perspex roof to keep out the rain wouldn't go amiss either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Jackdaw proof as well.
Excellent, sturdy bird feeders. We don't have a squirrel problem but jackdaws have been a pest, clearing out the food intended for little birds only. These feeders seemed to have resolved the problem. Jackdaws are clever but so far haven't worked out how to get past the squirrel proof outer frame. Misrepresented item
This item definately does NOT do what it says on the tin! The holes are far too large and near the feeder, squirrels can reach in gnaw away plastic and get to the feed. - useless.
