SynopsisThis best-selling introduction to the biology of invertebrates through a survey by groups emphasizes adaptive morphology and physiology while covering anatomical ground plans and basic developmental patterns. Rich illustrations, systematic resumes, and extensive citations make it a valuable references source.
I bought the book because I'm interested in protozoology and it has a great chapter on that, with excellent line drawings. The other chapters look good also.
AN EXCELLENT invertebrate text with abundant SUPERB black and white drawings of anatomical features /FAR better than a photograph!!
Animal anatomy and physiology and basic ecology have been very well documented for mant decades so an older edition is fine and FAR less expensive!
A VERY valuable resource.
