Reviews"Blanco's contributions to the fields of poetry and the arts have already paved a path forward for future generations of writers. Richard's writing will be wonderfully fitting for an inaugural that will celebrate the strength of the American people and our nation's great diversity." -President Barack Obama, "Blanco's contributions to the fields of poetry and the arts have already paved a path forward for future generations of writers. SynopsisOne Today is a commemorative chapbook of Richard Blanco's inaugural poem, presented January 21, 2013 during President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony.
This is a beautifully printed chap book of the inaugural poem for Obama's second term. There have only been 3 different poems for Presidential Inaugurations - one for Bill Clinton and two for Barack Obama. These books are treasures. John F. Kennedy had an inaugural poem read by Robert Frost but a chap book like this one was not printed.
