Not really bitter enough.
Despite the name, a German formula by way of Wisconsin that isn't really "bitters"; many of the ingredients (manna, angelica root, Cape aloe, Chinese rhubarb, senna, zedoary, myrrh, camphor, black cohosh, cinnamon, valerian root, or saffron are not really effective at stimulating digestive juice secretion. Only cardomom and maybe carlina thistledoes. Absent are things like Oregon grape, gentian, fennel. Save your money. I am told that really bitter under-the-tongue drops are a better option.
