This is a decent quality, good value small set of steps. It is very sturdy in use, with rubber covered treads. They are not overly heavy (but a bit heavier than aluminium type would be. The locking / release lever is quite easy to operate. A very slight niggle is that the right angle rear leg plastic end caps occasionally pop off, but that's no real biggy. I use 2 step ladders everyday because I am short. I unwrapped these steps about 3 weeks after receipt and found them to be faulty. One of the rods which clip into the step keeps coming out and I nearly had an accident but I still use them but with care. This step ladder is a perfect kitchen ladder, being small, neat and folding it can be put away into a small gap. Strong and well made it feel safe when in use and the black and white colors matches any room. The stair treads give you grip when leaning out, when stood on the top rung, it is quite heavy, which I prefer as it is made of steel.
