It does what it says
perfect for the larger type wood burner re: surface area for standing on away from the source of heat namely the flue pipe, ours is limited as it is only a 4.5kw however it does the job. Not effective
The fan works when tge stove is hot, it is fairly weak and doesn't really move much air so I certainly would not recommend it if you are looking for something serious. It is nicely made and it spins so is fine as an attractive addition to your stove. Stove top heat fan
Stove top heat fan powered by witch craft. Its really great, light your stove and at around 60 degrees the fan starts. It pushes the hot air into the room rather than collect and disappear up the chimney. Excellent well made fan
Good quality item. Very lightweight but very sturdy at the same time. Just place on top of stove, and wait. Mine started working as soon as the stove temperature hit 50 degrees. When running it is VERY quiet. The free temp gauge is a bonus too. Again that is of sound quality, very light and clear to read. This is the first fan I have used for my log fire, and having read reviews about fans I was expecting a good warm breeze from it, which is not the case. But I have nothing to compare it with. Little wonder
This was a bit of a gamble, but no regrets. It is small, but mighty. It is completely silent, and is really effective. The heat is spread beautifully around the room in no time at all, with no cold spots. I bought a temp gauge, too. Have found I unnecessarily stoked up the fire at times. Both. Improve your heat distribution

Brilliant quiet Fan

Great fan
I got this fan as a friend recommended it. I've had a wood burning stove for 17 years as the only source of heat in our cottage, no rads just the burner, the radiant heat alone has heated the cottage brilliantly but with this fan it seems like the air is a fresher air and doesn't have the hot stale air feel.
