Won't Crack
The heavy steel construction will make this grate last for years. Cast iron grates usually crack when used in a hot fire. This grate will not crack. Also, this grate can be lowered by cutting the legs shorter for a custom fit into your stove or fireplace.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The grate is really well built, but the flatness of the steel doesn't allow bigger ash to fall through and the height is a bit too short.
