Washing machine drip tray
The tray is open on one side (to allow the machine to be moved into the tray). As such it would not hold much water as there is only a slight sloping angle to contain any water.. The machine I have sometimes overflows with suds and water if it has a large load of towels. However if the tray had 4 sides how could the machine be placed in it ?. The only way would be to lift it into the tray and washing machines are very heavy
