I have purchased these motors from other suppliers & they haven't lasted very long.Total hrs working not more 10. So i thouight I'd try another supplier .delivered on time fitted in machine that afternoon complete with all new filters & we will see how this one last. This machine only get used once or twice a month if that so the warrenty period is eaten being parked up most of time. Hopefully this motor will last as long as the original.

I ordered this motor for my very old Dyson DC04 which was sparkling instead of working. I fitted the new motor and the hoover reborn. The motor is strong and silent as it should be. So I'm very satisfied with it and with the very fast despatch. After taking apart the old motor I found the carbon brush shorter by 12mm than a new one so I'm not surprised that it was not able to work. I'll buy a pair of carbon brush and I'll have a refurbished spare motor for the next hundred years.

Took an hour to strip down the vacuum cleaner and about the same to put it back together. Easy enough job, just have to be gentle with the plastic as it can be brittle due to age. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do the job so if in doubt refer to them. I bought a motor, a purple hepa filter and the blue sponge filter in a yellow plastic casing for about £23. At that price it was well worth the couple of hours it took to do the job. The dc07 is now as good as new.

This is not an original motor but apparently made to the same specs. Certainly when sat beside the original they are almost indistinguishable. Fits well and performs well. Thermal cutout fitted outside the motor body. This is extremely important. Do NOT buy the cheap copies with the cutout inside. Not noisy and lots of suction. I would recommend this product.
