lightweight and functional
it is light to move around and picks up really well. I like the long cord I can do all downstairs without changing to another socket. I also like the stairs attachment. Get what you pay for :(
Had a S++++ before.....Vax has adequate suction, but the hoses/connections to switch around during house clean routine are a real pain. Especially if you have aches and pains. Alot to undo/redo each time you need to attend to a specific area, then all repeat again to continue on your way. Needs a more efficient design. Good point is a good length of lead. A Great Choice of hoover
We really struggled over our choice to buy a new hoover after our old faithful Vax died (we reckon after at least 15 years of hard labour) I've had a Vax for all the 35 years we lived in this house so I was tempted to go for Vax again but reading reviews doesn't always help you to decide. However we went for the features of this one and were happy to pay a lower price for a damaged box. I'm delighted with it; the cord is so long I can plug it into just one socket a clean the whole floor of our house (and the loft from an upstairs socket !) the tools are easier to swap around than reading reviews might suggest so you just have to think about how you're going to best use them emptying the hoover is dead easy although the dirt receptacle is quite small but I don't mind that it's so quiet compared to our last hoover ! Very good aspiration, probably not very light and easy to reach all the corners but at the same time is offering a lot of accessories to clean almost anywhere you want. Replacement model for same vac. Love it!
This was a replacement for an identical vacuum cleaner that lasted 9 years. We would have had the old one repaired, but the brush motor cost almost as much to replace as this new model (with damaged box)! It's a great vac for anyone with a large house (long cord) and dogs(fab brush action). Really can't fault it and does a much better job than my sons' expensive Dyson and Shark stick models. Sweet Vax vac
Purchased this Vax Air Stretch Pro upright after my Vax 402 cylinder vacuum stopped suddenly just at the 4 year mark and all repair efforts were in vein. The Vax Stretch Pro is relatively lightweight, easy to use, easy to empty and has good suction. The little extra tools for corners and upholstery etc are a good and needed addition and great for the stairs. The stretchy hose stretched to do most of the stairs before I didn't want to stretch it any more. All in all nice vacuum, so far so good. I just hope it lasts longer than the last one.

Very good value and does the job well
For the money, it is indeed a good buy. The suction is very high and whilst ,in general ,this is a good thing it can make it quite an effort to push it over deep pile carpets ,even with the suction vent hole uncovered.It is easy to empty, just make certain that this is done just before the container fills up otherwise the dust and hairs will back up and clog the machine.My only criticism is the mains flex. This is much longer than on my previous VAX cleaner, but it is not such a good quality and it is fiddly to wind it back onto the pegs provided. Personally, I intend to remove the cable from my old cleaner and use it on the new one. Great vacuum cleaner
I purchased this for my wife, as our old cleaner was starting to fail. I saw this and am really please that I did. I was brand new with no sign of damage to the box, was easy to assemble and has really good suction, especially as it works right up to the edge of objects. A top quality domestic hoover
Amazing suction for a relatively low powered vacuum cleaner. The tubes really do stretch to give easy access to ceiling corners etc. It's quiet and the air exhaust creates no turbulence whatsoever. Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner
Seems a little flimsy and not so easy to change to use of hose as the short hose from the beater area has to be removed from the beater and connected to the extension hose. This will be a long term problem as the rubber O ring was misplaced on arrival so slightly damaged. Maybe this is to keep the weight down, but I don't see how? Also tools don't stow on board and the cable is too long to fit in the cable tidy area. Can't review reliability as it's new but it's good value and has much greater cleaning abilities than the Dyson we replaced which literally fell apart!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
