Fun way to kill pesky bugs
While my daughters think it is a waste of money, for someone who likes and grew up with guns, I remind them that while this is not a toy, the next time they want Dad to kill a spider in the corner of the ceiling in their room, I will not need to try and reach it with my hands or some other item to crush it, I can use the Bug a Salt. During the summer when it is hard to catch flies, this will be an easy and fun way to get rid of them in the house if you do not mind having a hand vac to get the tiny amount of salt that is shot out. Frowning on my gift
I gave it as a gift and, at first it was just what I ordered. Then as it was used, it got harder and harder to cock. I tried and was unable to cock it at all. Next complaint I heard, it did not shot with the power it is written to shoot at, only worked about 2 to 4 inches away. Now it acts like it is clogged and, won't shot out salt. This many complaints with in minutes of its first actual use mades me upset that I didn't get the prefect gift, from the right seller first.

1000 percent better than fly swatter.
This is one of those products I wish I had invented it is that good.Have shot thousands of times works perfect.It is great that it has no batteries and uses very little salt.I really do not like the way safety resets on each shot,But it is very safe and I have got use to it.Most people would like this feature but if you want to have a quick follow up shot it slows you down about 1 second.I cannot tell you how fun this is to use plus gets rid of pests on your deck while sitting on it.I am thinking of buying a couple more for gifts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Flies, not carpenter bees
The Bug Assault Gun Works great on flies and mosquitoes and other small insects very fun to use. Even though I bought it to kill carpenter bees it won't kill a carpenter bee they are just too tough and can withstand a full frontal assault Blast from the Bug Assault gun. Love this thing, hours of fun. I would suggest to the manufacture that a different substrate be used, as the salt tends to draw moisture and plug things up. OMG, I KNEW my brother needed one of these! So I got him one for Christmas. He lives in Tampa, FL, so even in December, there’s plenty of fun to be had. Plus, my sister in law has a barn and horses, so there’s even more opportunity for some good fly shootin’ there. This gun was a hit! By the end of the day, my brother and my brother in law were having lots of fun with it. By the next day, my brother had gotten half the neighbors on the street hooked, and was planning on buying some for them. Great for blasting bugs in the yard and deck!
I like the bigger load of the lawn and garden 2.0. If you are blasting carpenter bees you will have to hit them at least 2 times as they a robust bee. Works great on horse flies and hornets, that is why I bought it. It is surprising accurate to 3 feet using the sights. Bug jihad!
I've only had this bug a salt two days but so far so good. I have found two feet is the maximum distance you have for flys which I believe is pretty good. Had a problem with wasp and muddobers in the garage, well not any more. This thing will knock them out of the sky and disable them long enough to finish them off.
