  • Awesome!

This game was a present for my son's birthday and it arrived a couple days in advance! We love it! I play it with my 8 and 10 year old boys and my husband. It is cooperative, creative and tension building at the same time. It even has a hint of reality due to the water needs and how to save and/or share water when necessary. Our only change is that if someone dies from dehydration, the rest of the players can choose to keep playing! Thanks so much for creating a game that is awesome, sturdy and totally worth playing without costing an arm and a leg!

  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

There are many reviews on Forbidden Desert and Forbidden Island. Nearly all are glowing with positive reasons why you should add both of these to your board game collection. I must say I concur completely as these games are so much fun and have high replay value for years to come. And being co-op games, no one gets their feelings hurt! If you don't absolutely love either of these games, you will be in very small company.

  • Great Co-op Game

Great Co-operative Game It is an easy game to learn and is quick to play. Players work together and everybody either wins or loses as a team. It is the second game of the Forbidden series. It similar but very different from the original "Forbidden Island" game. You can play either one without knowing anything about the other. If you enjoy games where there is not one winner, but everyone must do their part to complete the mission then this would be a good choice.

  • Great Game for 2

This is a good covid game for even just 2 people. There are so many variables that no 2 games are ever the same, and the strategies for the different characters aren't simple. It's an easy game to learn, but keeps you entertained while using your wits to try to beat the sand and storm and thirst. We love this game!

  • Added mechanic of needing a continuous water supply to survive the desert is challenging

Great replayability because the "board" always changes. Cooperative play gives you a chance to win, and it's a good thing, otherwise this game would be too easy to lose. It's challenging and remains fun.

  • Very different from Forbidden Island!

I gave this game to my 11 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She has been playing Forbidden Island for a while and really enjoys it. But Forbidden Desert is more difficult than Forbidden Island and requires more strategy. We lost the first time we played, but it was interesting. I'm sure that it will get easier over time.

  • Beats the Competition

I bought this as a gift for my son and his family. They are very competitive and I was concerned that his boys get too upset when they win and lose and games. Their family loves to play games. They have played it several times and say that it has really helped them as a family and though they have not won the game yet, they are learning to play differently together. I think it is helping mom and dad as much as the boys.

  • Kid (8&11) friendly collaborative game.

Its nice to not have a player vs player game. One corner of Metal box was smashed in but no parts inside broken, so had to do a little work to get back in shape (could not have done that with a cardboard box).

  • Exciting cooperative adventure

This game gets tense, so easy to lose and only one way to win, and you truly have to work together to beat the game. A wonderful game for the whole family, not too hard to learn, awesome game pieces, very well designed, a must have for gamers of all kinds

  • An Excellent Game for Family Night

Like "Forbidden Island," "Forbidden Desert" is challenging, fun and will keep you coming back for another attempt! Don;t expect to win easily, but when you do, it's very satisfying.
