Worth putting on a purchase list
This is the first pressure cooker we have ever purchased and we are very taken with the ease of operation and the great taste of the meals we have produced to date. Since it arrived it has been in use once if not twice a day and it has not failed to deliver. The non stick pot is just that - non-stick. Don't use metal utensils and I see no reason for any issues. The interface is clear cut and easy to understand and use. It also clearly indicates pressures and stages of operation as cooking proceeds. The hands off pressure release system and back-up safety features are excellent. Cleaning is a breeze. For our needs I am even going so far as to consider if we actually need a full blown range and oven ( we are currently refurbishing a house). Is this the best electric pressure cooker currently available. Well, for our needs "Yes!". There are other makes and models available at various budgets so we would advise looking into it a bit before you decide. I LOVE this gorgeous kitchen gadget!
It is an atractive piece of countertop kit. Quite bg; bigger than I'd imagined. In the few weeks I've had it, I've ckked lentils, made lentil stew, sausage and mashe (each cooked independantly), pressure cooker "roast" chicken and chicken stock. It takes a while to pressurise, but despite that I find it so easy to choose the setting and just walk away; no woory about prssure cooker exploding (whichwas always a worry with stove top pressure cooker). The "roast" chicken waas so tasty and tender! Even though it involved searing, pressure cooking then a spell under the grill, 'll be cooking chicken like this again and agan! Best ever sausages in wine gravey. And a super quick stew that tasted like it had cooked for hours. I am so pleased I took a chance on this. Some of the reviews were unnecessarily unkind. UNBELIEVABLE ..........
Unbelievably easy to use and so versatile too - I took delivery of mine earlier in the week and cooked eggs in it. The came out after 4 minutes, hard boiled as wanted but with soft centers - Then Steamed some baby potatoes and cabbage at the same time using the auto selection for veg, to go with dinner, again spot on. Yesterday I made a winter vegetable soup and selected the soup setting and guess what - another total success. Anyone who is into saving space and wants to experiment with easy pressure/steam cooking - go for one of these.
