Yes, I recently found the need to dust off the cobwebs to my very old Valor paraffin heater and found it needed a new wick. With a new wick and can of paraffin I’m now able to keep my small outbuilding/workshop warm without the need to use an expensive electric heater. My original wick had a ladder metal pattern on one side were as the upgrade had a full metal tube, making the winding up and down smoother. if I could have one criticism, it could have been made out of cotton lower, fibreglass upper as so many are these days for a longer life.

att similar prices. My only complaint is that you must go easy when fitting it otherwise once that happens the inner binding snags the bottem of the tube and tears the biding which can coause a bit of a problem. I've had the same item frrom other suppliers with the same problem.

Works very well. I wasn’t sure because the full metal sleeve looks different to the original part. However, it fitted well and moves freely on the adjuster. If anything the sleeve makes it a more substantial part to handle, fit and operate. Unfortunately it does nothing to help the stinky paraffin smell when I’ve used it in my shed!

Fiddly to fit if you haven't done it before of course but my paraffin heater, bought from a second hand shop was very old, but the product itself is just fine. At last, some heat in the garage over winter ! Ha ha. Delivery etc. all good.
