A definite improvement over the original...
A definite improvement over the original 350Kg Ifor Williams model fitted to my 3.5t trailer, with the finer threaded on the handle shaft and tube it is far easier to adjust the raising and lowering of the trailer particularly when fully loaded. The addition of a grease nipple fitted at the top of the barrel saves having to remove and dismantle the jockey wheel assembly, giving access to regularly service the unit with grease. Very heavy duty jockey wheel
We have a heavy caravan an it's wheels are quite a long way back which means that the nose weight and hence the load on the jockey wheel is quite high. I have replaced the jockey wheel unit twice, the load especially on rougher ground has damaged the wheel and in one case twisted the wheel supports. Although I have reduced the nose weight as much as I could it still is at the limit for my car and needs a heavy duty jockey wheel. When I received this one I was very pleased with the structural strength of the tube and the wheel supports. The tube is also long which means that there is plenty of height adjustment without adjusting the clamp. The one downside is the jockey wheel is heavy which will add to the nose weight. During the summer when the caravan is being used often I will use a lighter duty jockey wheel with a pneumatic tyre but for storage in the winter I will change to this heavy duty wheel.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Big strong well made jockey wheel
Ok firstly. I don't normaly buy non badged goods. So this was a gamble for me. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned up. It was heavy and very well made. I've fitted the jockey wheel on my 17 foot boat trailer, ok it's a bit overkill but I'm happy with that, Should last for years. Thank you toolbox for supplying three excellent products and all with a fantastic service, the jockey wheel is exceptional and the spare wheel fits the old jock perfectly so now have a complete spare jockey wheel that probably will never use the back plate in SS is also a superb extra that not only protects the bumper as designed to do but also looks the part.
