Blanket Answer - battles well against the dreaded blanket weed!
I've been using Blanket Answer 'BA' for several years now. Although I've tried a variety of other products in this time I have found 'BA' to be the best. It's easy to use and relatively effective in controlling blanket weed is used regularly in summer when my fish are most active. Good product buy the larger size for value
Blanket Answer has cleared my 3000 gal pond of the long stranded blanket weed, this is the second time of trying this product the first time didn’t work as well as l expected albeit l had huge amounts of blanket weed at the time, l have found what l believe is the key to its success this time as l turned the filter pump off for just a couple of hours this enabled the powder to settle much better amongst all the weed, the first time l used it l had the filter pump on which obviously disturbed the powder from settling evenly so my advice is turn off the pumps for just for 1-2 hours for good results.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Definitely does the job
Had a massive blanket weed growth in my 4000 gallon pond, blocking the bottom drain, skimmer and causing the drum to constantly clean as the water simply couldn't get through it. Went slightly over the recommended dose as I had a blanket jungle and after 2 days when the water cleared, the blanket weed was still there. What a waste of money I thought! But after about 2 weeks of feeling a bit ripped off, it started dieing back rapidly and falling off the pond walls in huge clumps, so much so I had to get it out with a net. Now, 3 weeks later its all but gone and has left a layer on the bottom and sides that the weed won't grow on. How long this will last I don't know, but I would have no problems in doing it again. Great stuff that for me, really did work. Just make sure you get it from an aquatics shop rather than a trader of everything. Clover leaf
I have been using Clover Leaf Answer for many years, it works well for a limited amount of time in my case 2 months maximum before having to redoes !! The answer to my blanket weed problem.
I have been plagued with a serious blanket weed problem ever since I built my Koi pond. After trying loads of other remedies such as barley straw, magnets and white rocks (Zircon if I remember correctly). I then came across this product. It's brilliant, I normally dose the pond when the sun starts shining and the weather warms up and the blanket weed starts growing. I then give it a second dose when I see the blanket weed just starting to re-appear at the end of summer. It then remains free of blanket weed until the following year. It definitely kills the blanket weed but doesn't stop it growing again in my pond, but others may find it does if they don't have the serious problem as I do, but 2 doses a year does keep my pond clear. It's not cheap, but I do feel it's worth the money as there is nothing worse than foot long strands of blanket week in the pond. I would highly recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't seem to be working!

If you have blanket weed in your pond, then this is your answer. I have had ponds for nearly 20 years and have tried different methods and products but nothing works as well as this product.
