This bipod may be expensive but if you're serious about long range shooting, this bipod is the way to go. Even though it is meant for the heavier caliber rounds like the 300 Winmag or the 50 cal. it works well with my 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor bolt action rifle. The Tilt lockout feature makes it so that you don't have to look up to your bubble level after every shoot. Perfect bipod for a Desert Tech
Too much bipod for an AR-15. The very best for a medium to large tactical rifle. Exelent adjustment range, easy configueration, quality and strength. It is wide when folded and I attach it to the side rail of my rifle for travel in the case. The feet do not slip on a hard surface. I can preload because they do not rotate. The stance is wide and stable. It is very expensive, but you are getting what you pay for. It tilts, pans and locks where you want it. My shooting buddy was convinced it was too expensive untill he tried mine and bought one the same day. Be sure to get the version with the quick detach lever (the LW17). This unit is right at home on anything from a 308 to a .50.

Outstanding product for precision long range shooting.
Throwing this kind of money at a bipod seems crazy but when you're shooting $6/round the added stability and resulting accuracy is probably well worth it.
