Just the job
As an author, I often get my best ideas for the next book or my latest work in progress just when I should be going to sleep, I keep a pen & paper by the bed but if I put the light on, I'll be too wide awake to sleep. Now, instead of writing little notes in the dark that are difficult to decipher the next day, I can just lazily put my arm out from under the quilt, voice record my ideas & hopefully get to sleep before the next ones hit. This is exactly what I wanted, I just tested it out by leaving it on while watching the TV & I'm very happy with it. I'll also take it out with me in case I get any good storylines pop into my head but I'll have to find somewhere isolated to record them. (I use my tablet to type my ideas if other people are about :) Instructions could be a little better, I was concerned about the 10 second thing, thinking that it only records 10 seconds at a time but was relieved to find that it begins to record after a 10 second delay, which is not a problem now that I know that. So simple to use, it's going to be a great help to me. Great price too, I was expecting to have to pay more for a dictaphone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as good as I thought
After reading so many great reviews I decided to buy that mini flash drive recorder. It looks like very cheap USB stick... It does record though... but it supposed to be able to record for 15hrs, but after an hour it stopped recording (please note that it's been fully charged according to a light indication and a fact that it was charging overnight). I was very disappointed as actually the last 30min of 1.5hrs meeting were very important to me... A shame I was not able to record it...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I had a need to record a discussion at a meeting in my wheelchair. I use velcro to attach it and recorded the conversation which I then transcribe after listening to the recording . I had to open a wav file on a Mac lap top I down loaded a free unit resale file opener from the app shop and then dragged the file from the memory stick after I opened its. with the memory stick attached to a surface the words recorded were clear to hear in a general room. Once the start up flashing light it does not indicate it is recording.
