Doesn't cut evenly
Overall very disappointed with this item. It's easy to use but sadly doesn't cut slices evenly, some turn out flimsy and see-through and this is on the highest setting to get the thickest cut. I used it for potatoes for a gratin dish and it's obvious you couldn't use it on the other 2 settings if the setting for the thickest slice is so thin. Really good on firmer produce like peppers, potatoes, onions & cucumber etc. Not so good on very ripe fruits & tomatoes. Care must be taken to use the gripper to hold what your slicing as use can slice so rapidly you don't realise how quickly the item you're holding is diminishing in size! Easy to clean & the blade locks away in a safe position. Can slice very thin as well which is exactly what I wanted. It's lightweight and easy to store gadget which doesn't take up too much room in a drawer or cupboard (I have a much larger one in a box which is bulky and so only used occasionally).
