I needed to find a traditional adhesive for use for the repair of a 120 yr old harmonium, and I wanted to use original materials or as close to original as possible. The really traditional stuff is supplied as granules or pellets which need to be melted in a heated glue pot. (You'll remember that from your schooldays maybe!). This product is a good compromise. It doesn't need to be heated to use (I assume it uses some kind of solvent), but it sets slowly to allow some "wriggle" time and can be reversed using heat just like the traditional glue. I'm very pleased with the result and would recommend it to anyone who wants a traditional result without the mess and hassle of using a heated glue pot.

A good reversible wood adhesive. It's not as good as freshly made traditional pearl glue. But in applications where that is not a practical option it is very useful substitute.

This wood glue is great for repairing furniture and other wooden objects. It has a long setting time so you can get the fit just right. It is water soluble so it can be easily removed without damage so ideal for conservation purposes, as it is a reversible intervention.
