This works well with my Festool saw. Not to sure on the grip of the base but got some low cost clamps that slide in below and fix the rail to the work piece. Good value

Whilst this is, of itself, a good piece of kit it is not compatible with either Makita or Festool rails, it is compatible with Festool/Makita plunge saws but not the rails. I am not suggested you shouldn’t buy this, only that if you go for Excel rails make sure that is the only brand you are using.
