Decent Piece Of Kit
This product is of a very good quality and very well made. I thought it was a good price for such a high end product. I have used the more expensive beer, Speckled Hen but have found the basic beer just as effective in drawing the slugs to the trap. One can of beer 500 ml will be enough to fill the trap on two occasions. I have ensnared none to 24 on each setting of the trap but I have averaged about 12 slugs over 14 nights. The wetter nights tend to trap the most. The way the trap is made makes it very easy to clean especially with a hosepipe.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Plastic box
It attracted slugs, they came, had a party and left by morning. The only way you can catch them is if you get up in the middle of the night, say 3am, and empty the plastic box. How to catch snails
This little plastic box with three pits inside is Ideal, the first night I have used it I caught seven snails. It is surprisingly well made quite heavy and has the advantages that it can be moved around to where it is needed. Does what it says on the tin
My wife puts the cheapest beer I can find at the supermarket into these ( we bought two) and it works fine - dozens of dead slugs of all shapes and sizes. Even though the lid is detachable, it remains on in the fiercest winds. We empty them into the flower borders every week or so (organic compost lol), clean, re-fill and dozens more fall in. Slug was in the living room - somewhere. Tried this to catch it. But didn't seem to catch it, perhaps due to child spilling some of the beer on the carpet, so the slug was distracted? - there as a slug trail doing a circle of the trap. However, during the night getting up to see to a child, I then proceeded to step on the slug... with bare feet. YUK. Bought this as can't put slug pallets down cause of my 6mth old shih tzu, really works & easy to clean once a wk. Yes I would recommend it to you all but a word of advice put something heavy on top of it just in case if you have a puppy they will try & get the lid off. looked like a good idea

No more slugs
I. Roughy these when my deck became covered in slugs and my dogs started to sniff them and I was concerned as slugs can harm dogs you need to put beer in them and the slugs crawl in and can't get back out just remember to empty often as they fill up very fast they do end up smelling so if you haven't got a strong stomach get someone else to empty them best money I have spent in a long timeVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

MUCH BETTER THAN THE SMALLER ONES
I HAVE PUT ALL MY PLANTS IN AND TONITE MY SLUG TRAP WILL GO DOWN. WE GET SO MANY SLUGS IN OUR GARDEN NOT ONLY THE LITTLE BLACK ONES BUT THE LARGER GREY ONES. I HATE HAVING TO USE SLUG PELLETS BECAUSE MOST OF THEM DONT WORK SO I AM TRYING THIS ONE OUT AND I AM ABOUT TO BUY ANOTHER IF I CAN GET ONE.
