Definitely a lot dearer than a carpenters pencil found behind behind his ear. The pencil holder clips firmly to your work belt/trouser pocket and therefore always at hand. The pencil is great at 'deep hole marking' and the lead point can be sharpened to your required point detail with the pencil sharpener on the end of the holder, saving time looking for a sharp chisel.
