Great as I only have a small hedge at my front garden and only have to cut one side It’s small and easy to store much better than dragging my plug in hedge trimmer and extension lead and safer also as I kept cutting through the power cables Wouldn’t recommend it for large hedges

I Hurt my right hand so I could only use my left hand, so I needed a smaller one handed held hedge cutter, I already had batteries off my drill etc so it was a no brainer to get this Makita hand held as my hedge was overgrown. Glad I did its not to heavy and cuts really well, haven't tried the grass cutter yet but if its as good as the hedge cutter great. I Would defo' recommend this cordless hedge cutter.

Good for light work trimming hedges that are already in shape and you just want to keep them tidy. Can handle soft tender shoots like box or yew but it struggles with anything woody like holly. Changing from hedge trimmer to grass cutter is messy (greased parts) and a bit complicated as it has to be aligned. See a popular website for video on how to do it. Once you learn how it can be done in about 5 minutes. One big plus is it can be operated with one hand so great if your working at height on a ladder.

its a lot better then the cheap one I bought years ago, it was nothing more then a toy, not recommended at any price. Makita is a lot better product, but I still think the battery and charger should come with it.
