Good story
Great story, for those King fans it does not truly follow the book well. However that would be hard to do as a movie. It is a 2 part movie though. The next should be coming out this summer. I will add to my disappointment that the DVD case states that there are some interviews and supplemental footage included. There is not.

The film quality was excellent. The producer obviously tried to mimic in certain areas the original IT. The characters did fairly well. I was a little bit more character in the horror creation. Pennywise would seem a little bit more in the movie. I think that they could have worked a little bit harder and did a little bit but I work on create the real horror film. It was good but I wouldn't give it a five-star. So I'm going to go ahead and say I'll give it a 3-star. It's good for one time watch.

Arrived In Fast Timing In Top Condition!
Within the same week after I ordered a DVD copy of the new "It" movie, it arrived at my house in top condition. Even when I watched the movie, the disc is is also in top condition with a great picture quality and no skipping at all, not even once. Even the movie is overall very well done, interesting, and intense with the story brought to live action overall well with the characters developed and brought overall good as well. The beginning is very touching where Bill, the main character, made a paper boat for his little brother Georgie, as well as when Georgie floated his new toy boat in the water on the street before it accidentally fell into the sewer to be intercepted by Pennywise the Clown, who is portrayed not only very well, but very creepy and scary, like the killer clown is meant to be. All of the other characters are also developed and portrayed very well, to remind a lot of the viewers of how lively and well developed they were in the book. That is not to mention the great action and lively effects there are throughout the movie. It is highly recommended for horror fans, especially those who read and like the book.

scaring but very simple and somewhat entertaining
enjoyable to watch kept you waiting for the flash forward part as in the original but never happened the story was more about them as kids than adults and even though some of the main characters in this version stood out they were secondary in the original over all it was better in the scare but far less in the entertainment but overall if asked to watch again i would but would need another few years before seeing both versions again.

Preferred Original but this had some good features.
I had seen the original 'IT' several years ago, so when this movie came out, HAD to see 'IT', too! Was it a good value, Yes. Was it entertaining? Some parts more than others. More gory than the original. Engaging characters? Other than the unnecessary language, there was just enough time spent on each character that allowed you to see why they were the way they were. I believe the original was better....guess we'll have to wait for the next 'chapter' !!

Great spy movie filled with suspense, action, great characters and great plot!
This move was even better than I expected. A story that resonates, characters we can relate to, interesting plot twists, lots of suspense and surprises, great action that fills out the story (not just silly effects) and a very satisfying conclusion. All of the actors were noteworthy and believable. You'll be drawn into the plot from the beginning and you'll stay engrossed in the film until the credits.

Perfect description of Pennywise!
Showed more of Pennywise. Definitely drew me in from the beginning! If I had been a kid and saw something like that in the storm drain I would have ran away as fast as I could! Not talked to it. Great movie
