Best live recording, nice guitar licks, and variety of songs ,many will remind you of Stevie Ray Vaughan >> A lot of talented guys playing their heart out on this!
Started listening to this album ( along with Black oak Arkansas " when electricity came to Arkansas" and Alice Cooper " Killer" albums ) at 5 yrs. old. I would sneak into my brothers room and listen over and over. I love Dickie, Duane, and Gregg but to me the one who shined on this album was Barry on bass. Can't go wrong buying this Album!
This is an interesting collection of just seven tunes. It's a live recording from 1971 when both Duane and Gregg Allman were still with the group. The 23 minute version of Whipping Post is worth the buy while all six of the other songs are bonuses.
In my humble opinion, the Brothers Fillmore concerts are the greatest live recordings ever made.If this album does not prove that point, then you obviously need ear surgery.
The quality is excellent the time that I got it was right on, brings back some good memories 70's Show yeah I would recommend it to anybody I want to thank you
The Allman Brother's Band at Fillmore East ranked as on of the 500 greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. A ground breaking live performance.
