Willie Doyle SJ was born in Dalkey on 3 March 1873 to an affluent Catholic family. Willie entered the Society of Jesus in 1891. Doyle embarked on a period of Jesuit formation known as Regency. Doyle worked in two Jesuit schools Clongowes Wood College and Belvedere College.
