Nice upgrade for triple core phenom 2s
This CPU should drop into your g1 socket and give you a nice speed and core bump if you have one of the 1.8 triple core phenom 2s. Check CPU-world for specs. Taking you laptop apart is non trivial, so don't attempt if you're not competent to do so. I also had to renew one of the 2mm heat sink pads which fell apart. The thermal envelope is 35w rather than 25w so make sure you clean the fluff out of those hard to reach places around the cooling fan when you have the laptop stripped. If you swap to an ssd you keep the overall system power budget pretty neutral.

Arrived speedily and in good condition. Works well, used for upgrade. Original CPU installed when laptop was WIN 7, unit now on WIN 10, so more oomph required. Good E-Bayer would use again.
