So much better than the cheapo Woolworths (yeah..do you remember them?!) plastic one i had for years...and always kept jamming and mis firing. This one is soo much beefier, solidly made, it being metal...easy to load, easy to clear the odd one that does get jammed occasional...but most importantly...it properly fires in heavy duty staples fully in. I hardly need to use me small tap hammer anymore. So yes...i certainly do recommend it.....and Stanleys staples too. I always try to purchase the consumables made and designed for a particular tool, even if there are other brands or makes that would do just as well. Me...i'm a stickler to using the company's own consumables..for peace of mind. And the staples are well made, heavy duty..and they nearly (just the odd one)..go all the way in! So...um...yeah..buy it..you'll be happy with it! It does what it says it can do! :)Read full review

Its not powerful enough. Not easy to aim with. The design is nice. Roburst and well made. Uses a comon size staples same as staples hammer. I feel the old 11,3mm guns were easier to use and more effective.

I was very surprised at how well made it is, considering the price. It is easy to use and I have just one negative comment, the handle and trigger surface should have a non slip coating as your fingers can slip down the trigger. I bought it to staple roof felt on my shed, it was so quick and easy, it took a fraction of the time it would have taken using a hammer and tacks. Really like the 2 power settings.

This was bought to replace my old jammed stapler. This Stanley unit can't be jammed with incorrect sized staples, and if you did manage to shove in too big a strip, you can easily fish them out again, something which you can't do with my old unit. Secondly, there's very little kick-back. The old unit had to be held with two hands, one to press down, the other to squeeze the trigger. This unit can be used with one hand with relative ease. It might have only been used to tack weed membrane into raised beds, but it has done so with ease. I got it from Maplin, for less than £15, which is less than my old unit, making it a bargain as well.

ive had a few staple guns in the past but this one really does what it says it does when i first got it and the staples to go with it which were 10mm ones i tried it on my wifes butchers block which is solid 40mm thick beechwood and the staple went right in fully with no trouble so that i think is pretty dam good i then re stapled under my divan bed material and some 2mm thick plywood onto the base also with excellent results not bad for a manual staple gun ive certainly had no issues with staples only going part way in like some have said a no brainer staple gun .just buy.
