Could have been better.
The story I knew, having seen it on TV a few times, it is explained pretty well on the sleeve. I already had it on a DVD from a few years after its release, but hoped a later BluRay would have been remastered slightly, mainly for the less-than-special special effects. Unfortunately it hasn't been. The model shots of the city still look like a model, and the shoot-out in the ice cave is laughably bad. It's a good classic movie made before the CGI method of filming. That means that minitures and old tech was used in making this film. Not the best if offerings.
Despite this being a blu ray the picture quality certainly shows its age. The price of the blu ray comes in at about the same as the dvd, that should tell you something of its quality.
