  • Once You Go Liquid Metal There's No Going Back To Paste!!

Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra Thermal Compound is amazing! So good infact that I bought another kit! 1x kit was enough to delid my 4790K + between IHS & Cooler + 2x 980Ti GPUs with approximately 1x CPU spare for next time. 4790K temps over Christmas with hard gaming was cooking my CPU to 100c @4.2GHZ With CLU I'm getting around 45-60c Load and 30c Idle for CPU and from 90c to 75c for the top 980Ti GPU, 65c/70c bottom GPU, I could never achieve this with ThermalGrizzly or MX4. Perfectly easy to apply too which being LIQUID METAL must be SPREAD not just a pea size and whack the cooler on top!

  • Very good performance for low pressure application (gaming laptop)

I bought this for a 5 year old gaming laptop (XMG A503 - Clevo W355STQ) because I had tried different thermal paste, among them the prolimatech PK-2, and after 2 or 3 weeks the CPU was reaching 99º C again and throttling due to the temperature. I think the paste didn't last long because of the low pressure of the heat sink. After trying this liquid metal, the temperatures don't reach 75º C... It's quite amazing! But now it's a matter of waiting a few months and see how it performs. Ageing should be much better than with regular thermal paste in any case. The application wasn't as hard as I expected. It comes with two brushes (I only used one) and after 30 seconds one gets the technique just right. You have to make quick and short passes with the brush so it breaks the surface tension of the liquid metal and it creates a thin film on top of the chip (CPU or GPU). If you are too slow or gentle with the brush, then the liquid metal behaves like mercury and it creates "blobs". The only problem with this is that the liquid metal is conductive so you have to be careful not to shot-circuit anything. I didn't use any protection for the circuits around the CPU or GPU because they didn't have any electronic elements too close (just some green board) but in any case you can use a bit of mask tape around to cover them if you feel more comfortable that way.

  • Very good heat paste but hard to apply.

This stuff can be hard to apply correctly. I personally think it's best to apply it with paper and smear it on both surfaces then use a second piece of paper and use the edge like a blade to remove any excess. This information isn't available anywhere but i works so much better that way. If i ever do it again I'll make a YouTube video. P.s i recommend thick gloss paper and the paper used in the packaging is perfect if not use the front cover of a magazine. If you try and use the brush that comes with the kit you'll just have blobs that are uneven and to thick and it won't work as well. This paste out performs every thing I've ever used and gave me a 5c cooler CPU with the same cooler.

  • TL;DR: It's good

I liked to watch The Invisible Man series when I was younger, I always wanted to have his power, and now when I'm older I can finally fulfill my fantasy. I smeared this amalgam all over and started touching myself inappropriately. I finished like it was my first time. Would recommend.

  • Best performing compound there is....

You will have better temps using this product but its harder to apply and harder again to remove. Also, it electrically conductive so you do have to be careful.

  • well the cpu is 5C cooler than others with 11% OC

Its more fiddly than putting a blob in the middle, but if your overclocking there really isn't an argument, You need to cool that cpu, and this does it. Kits good, everything you need is there.

  • Great performance

Got from 50C to 35C idle on my Core 2 Quad Q9540. Willing to overclock now and see the results, but great so far. Have to be careful with the application though, best to take cpu out and apply it outside the case, then put it back.

  • I cant use it, its separate

U need to be professional to use it, i exactly follow the youtube and failed, its useless , be careful , the last part in the picture is drying inside , cant use, the said its normal ,not the quality issue

  • Lost 20 degrees in heat

I delidded my 4790k and this brought the stress temps down from 65 degrees to a cool 40... If you can successfully apply the stuff without shorting your processor then the rewards are waiting for you on the other side.

  • Delidded my 7700k

I have a cryorig A40 liquid cooler and before I delidded things where super hot! At 5Ghz i WAS maxing out at the 99-100c thermal limit at any frequency higher than 4.8. I am now maxing out at 80 at 5Ghz on intel burn test! My room is about 73-75 degrees. Core voltage is at v1.310. My fans don't even hardly spool up now. Couldn't be happier thank you!
