Old School Recording
Dated it may be, and as such a lot of high frequency content. Nonetheless the album earns its place in music history for the innovative sound that Bolan and Visconti created back in the day. It was no.1 in the U.K. album charts for about 8 weeks and ushered in the glam rock era, when Bolan appeared on Top of the Pops wearing glitter and satins. Electric Warrior is evocative of the beginning of the T.Rex sound and glam rock. You could be forgiven for thinking that the tracks are a bit same ole same ole, but for the time, 1971 they were very fresh. If you like early 70s glam rock before Bowie’s Ziggy incarnation then you will probably enjoy this album.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
