  • Shame On The Record Company

I remember buying this on vinyl when it first came out and being very disappointed. Who's Last is typical of an album that has just been thrown together by the record company to try and make a quick buck out of the record buying public. The reason I bought the CD all these years later is because of one track, the last track actually, Twist and Shout, featuring John on vocals. The Who's version of this song is absolutely brilliant and it's well worth the budget price I paid for this CD. The album as a whole is far too polished and is probably one for die-hard Who fans only. I don't like giving a Who album anything less than five stars, but this one gets three, and that's only because of the aforementioned Twist and Shout.

  • Not a great recording

Rather dull sounding album. I think the Who were going through the motions at the end of there career, or maybe it was just a bad recording at the gig, as I believe it was in America and they seem to be behind in technology compared to Europe. If you want a quality version of these fantastic tracks it would be better to stick with studio recordings.
