blues lite with some tuneless whistling
This starts well; I feared a lot of gut-bucket Blues but it's light-touch music somewhere in the Rock-Blues-Soul-Jazz borderland. It loses its way a bit in the middle with the rambling live tracks, including a dreadfully cheesy version of Blind WiIlie Johnson's intense spiritual Blues, Somebody On Your Bond. I can't imagine his old pal Ry Cooder, who himself covered that song brilliantly, could have been impressed with that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
