The Very Best Of David Bowie
I didn't really follow David Bowie growing up. I found his Nothing has changed CD to be very entertaining. His body of work was very creative. His early work was very unique and his work with various artists was a surprise. David Bowie's music will stand the test of time.

Great compromise in length
There is a 1,2 and 3-disk version of this compilation. The two disk set leaves out some of the less essential sixties material and a few other lesser known tracks but has room for all of the classic Bowie that we love. I favour Best of Bowie for sound, but most people won't be fussed and this is the most current compilation.

David Bowie CD
I never really appreciated David Bowie and I bought this CD to become more familiar with his music. I would say that it is a fairly good cross section of his work suitable for absolute beginners like me. Bowie experts will have plenty of his CDs and they might not find this one to add anything to what they have already got. PS. Note the pun :)
