It all works in the end
Clumsy fingers find it awkward to get the cells from their packaging - but it is easier than some rival product's packs - and then, when they roll about on the desk in front of you, mingling with those you have just removed because they have no power left, the ability to recognise the difference between a used one and a new one becomes important. You then realise that hitting the new one to topple it from its edge onto one of the sides was the wrong thing as you now have a plethora of battery with your valuable new one mixed in those destined for the re-cycle box. Out with the magnifying glass to look for scratches on the old ones and slowly or stupidly note the difference - the old ones don't have Duracell written on them - the new one does. Obviously, I would not have needed to replace the old ones if they had that magic Duracell marking, they would have lasted a lot longer and not need changing. I needed four new batteries for my gadget, they work as expected. I can’t say whether they are good value or not but I had to have them as the essential gadget won’t take any other kind. Batteries are boring!
Yes, batteries are boring, but we all need them from time to time, despite their characterless disposition. The batteries I bought are indeed, no exception, but they are good, though it has to be said, just as boring as any other batteries I have ever bought. These ones arrived (eventually), despite the pandemic, which seems to be used as an excuse for virtually everything not functioning properly these days. I popped them in my tiny, key-ring torch and hey presto....they ceased to be boring for all of 10 seconds! Then, they became merely functional, just like all their friends and relations in the battery world...lighting things up, making things go, ring, ping, squeak and buzz. Of course the tragedy of being a battery is that sooner or later, you die and you become a very polluting and difficult to dispose item. Unlike human beings, there is no ceremonial, no funeral or memorial service for the humblest battery. My old dead batteries are just gathered together and put in a large Jiffy bag. When on the point of bursting and overflowing, bag and contents are taken to the recycling depot and from thence.....who knows where? So, in conclusion, my batteries, despite their boring nature are proving to be good at their job of lighting up my car lock, my house door lock and my speaker connections underneath my digital mini-grand piano. You see, I'm a pro piano player, which is probably one reason why I have waxed so lyrically(?) about my batteries. Despite my criticism, I love my little batteries, mainly because they are an indispensable part of my equipment when working and without which, it would be well nigh impossible to connect up my speakers to my piano....too dark, you see? So go ahead and buy these little beauties with confidence and joy, as I did. You will not be dissatisfied or disappointed....at least not for 10 seconds!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Yes you can buy cheap unbranded button cells. These are fine for some items but when you want a long lasting replacement battery, why not pay a little bit extra and get a guaranteed good quality product for not a lot of extra money. It's a battery, they all look the same and feel the same, it's when you put them in whatever you need to that you notice the difference.Having bought unknown brands before, I've found that it's a false economy. These are just as I expected they are the most superb beautiful impressive things I have ever seen, they may change my life! They are batteries I have had them for four days. What do you want me to say about them!! I have said before the categories may apply for some products but this one size fits all is ridiculous. The Longer Lasting Battery
I am very pleased with Duracell products and have been for many years. I use the LR44 for LED sets in glass display bottles. I have monitored the length of output using a fixed load against other makes. For example a set of LED decorative lights which are on for X hours per day. I always get more hours from the Duracell than others I have tried. There are many unknown makes of LR44 around from Asia. They appear cheap and are normally a false economy.
