It has been many years since the 1935 movie of "Swanee River" has been broadcasted on UK Freeview Television, so it is great to be able to now see it in DVD quality, instead of the tv-recorded VHS tape that I have been using.
The film itself stars Don Ameche among many others, and is centered around the life of the famous American composer Stephen C. Foster, who wrote many famous songs such as "Oh Suzanna", "I dream of Jeanie with the light brown hair", "Beautiful Dreamer" and the titular "Swanee River" among many other well-known songs.
I am certainly glad that I had made this purchase!
