Good, but only lasts one winter.

Our fire back was scuffed and coals were mostly light grey, and some even had white damaged patches. After two or three coats, dependent on the amount of damage, the fire is looking well. Great coal paint for gas fire.
Fire and coals look like new. Very nice paint. Burns off the coals under direct heat leaving a grey, but not returned to the faded brown they were. Most of the surface of the coals are still jet black. Really pleased with overall result! Looks better than in the photo.
