Dylon Blue Denim Machine Wash Fabric Dye can be used to put the colour back into a faded pair of jeans. The dye washes and colours fabric at the same time, and is ideal for treating denim jeans, jackets and shirts. Very easy to use, would dye two pairs of jeans
Easy to use: put product in washing machine (salt is included) add clothing, set machine to 40C cotton wash. It says no more than 1 kg weight. I did a pair of jeans (500g) and a skirt 350g, so 850g total weight and they came out quite a dark blue, so it would do two pairs of jeans easily. When it has finished, leave the clothing in, add detergent and run a 40C cotton wash again, to wash any remaining dye from the clothes and clean the machine. I had a pair of navy blue Adidas jogging bottoms that were faded but still in good condition also a pair of jeans that I'd managed to get bleach on and I was going to throw them both away. I followed the instructions, popped them in the washing machine with this fantastic dye and hey presto two refreshed items of clothing that were destined for the bin. Had a pair of Replay jeans at over £100.00 which were very faded. Thought nothing to lose as I didn't want to throw them away so I bought this. What a revelation. Never used dye before so was slightly wary when I saw my washing machine full of this blue ink, but rest assured it works !!! A deep blue colour and the orange stitching has come out intact so you can see the contrast. The excess dye rinsed easily from the machine. You do need to was the items again straight after the treatment to remove excess dye and maybe twice the items need to be washed on their own to stop colour run but after that you're done. the one to use
had some really good quality jeans that had faded over the few years i had them but were settled in and were my favorite jeans...after a bit of thought i decided to look at dying them....we used to dye tee shirts and stuff when we were kids....so i look online and found good old dylon products...bought the dye and folllowed instructions...basically just lob it all in the washing machine...end results were it made a four year old pair of jeans look like brand new...i kid you not...very very happy with the result....if you are looking to revitalise your old favorite denhim give this a go...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
